Prenatal + Postnatal Bodyfeeding Support Group - 5 workshop series
There is so much power in community. During the perinatal period, isolation can creep up on us, especially within the dominant culture that celebrates individualism and productivity. In our bodyfeeding support group, we move through really important topics together that are deeply connected to our bodyfeeding journeys, while also provide practical tips and tools to serve you and get you off to the best start possible. These workshops are aimed for those who are still waiting for baby to arrive, but we welcome anyone who might feel these topics will be of value.
Workshop design: 40 minute share by myself, 20 minute reflection/Q&A/share time within the group (you are welcome to receive and give what feels right for you! We are an introvert + extrovert safe space :)

Week 1: Decolonizing Parenting & Bodyfeeding. Current expectations, norms, and ideas and how we got here. How might we look critically as we carve our own way forward as a parent.
Week 2: A parent is born. Re-parenting ourselves as we transition.
Week 3: Breast/Bodyfeeding 101. The Art & Science of feeding. latching, positioning, getting enough milk.
Week 4: Common concerns & supportive strategies
Week 5: Supporting Postpartum Transition. Parental nutrition, parent and infant mental health, parent rest + infant sleep.
